Influenced early in his life by authors such as Simon Hawke (the classic TimeWars Series), Orson Scott Card (the Ender Series), and J.R.R. Tolkien (Lord of the Rings), along with more recent authors such as Douglas Preston / Lincoln Child (the Pendergast Series), Robert Jordan (The Wheel of Time), and Brandon Sanderson (The Wheel of Time, The Stormlight Archives), Michael likes action, mystery, and adventure, and the influence is seen in his energetic writing.
